HELP!! H22 alt. belt

Default HELP!! H22 alt. belt

my car-2000 base model

i removed my a/c, do i need a shorter belt since i took off the a/c compressor? i cant find my alt. belt so can i buy a normal length alt. belt from auto zone or something?if i do need a shorter belt where can i find one?

I have a H22 w/ no AC and the belt I use is at Autozone for 9 bucks! # is 370K6-6PK940...

i have an aem pulley kit though, should i change them both back to stock since they dont do anything. or can i just change the alt. pulley and leave the other one

Leave the pulleys on, they help a little.

For the belt, just wrap a string around the pulleys you need the belt for and take the string up to Autozone/O'Reilly and tell them you want a belt the same size as the string...Also bring the old one so they know how wide and how many ribs...

anybody else ever do this? is there a big possibility they will have the right size?

im using a alt belt from a 94 lude w/o AC

got it from a dealership....except its a lil less wide than what its supposed to be and it makes a sound liek a supercharger , lol

So thats what that noise is.

I'm also using the s model lude belt. i have the part # at home if needed.

It's too tight then. Loosen it a bit and the sound will stop. The belt that is the one that sounds like a supercharger
