will a comptech type r header fit 00 si?
as stated above will a comptech teggy type r 4-2-1 header fit an 00 si? if so any fabrication i need to do for it to fit correctly? or will it just bolt on no prob/

It will fit but it will hang a little lower on a B16 motor reducing ground clearance. You'll probably also have to chance your cat to one with a larger flange to fit the header.

The header will bolt to the head just fine, and the header's length will also be perfect. The only problem is the angle of the flange at the collector. The ITR flange is rotated at a different angle than the Si, so the cat won't bolt-up. If you don't want to modify your stock cat, an ITR, LS, or '00-'01 GS-R cat will work. This information is 100% accurate, as I've installed an ITR header on an Si in the past.
The header will bolt to the head just fine, and the header's length will also be perfect. The only problem is the angle of the flange at the collector.
