Default Radiator leaked coolant but from where?! Baffled.

Ok so heres the story.
I buy an LS about 2 weeks ago, installed myself, and it ran "ok". For a while i had idle problems, like at a stop sign, it would idle from 3000 to 2500, then back to 3000 again. O yea it also had a little sputter (put put sound). I dunno why it did this. Newho i thought it would stop after running it in for a while.

2 weeks later the sputter didnt stop (sputtering doesnt mind me, but maybe i did something wrong?) and the idle went down to a consistant 2000.

Ok so im on my way home, merging from the 5 freeway to the 22 sloped on-ramp in traffic.. My car is idling at 3000??? Wtf? Tried putting it in 1st gear w/o gas to see if it would move... it did not. Neway so im driving, and then all of a sudden my the temperature skyrockets. I pull over and pop the hood.

What i see is my overflowtank squirting lots of coolant from underneath it? or somewhere down there. I check for fluids coming out the hoses but i didnt see anything at all. Inside the tank was massive pressure and hot coolant. I open the radiator cap and there goes a massive coolant explosion. So i fill her up, used a whole bottle of rad fluid (rad was almost completely empty) and got home. Idles at 1500 now... seems normal.

Will it stay like this? Should i be expecting the same problems in the next few weeks? Ne1 know whats going on here?

again i did not see any radiator leaks from hoses...

you sure you didnt crack the radiator? You should top it off and bleed the system if necessary.

before i think the radiator was leaking, so what i did was buy that NO LEAK crap, and the radiator was fine... for a while i guess

If it IS the radiator, HMOTORS screwed me over again. The first one they gave me was completely broken, it was like i poured radiator fluid thru a big *** straw.

And so i had to go there to replace it. I guess it was nice of them to replace it free of charge, but the valley is so far from me.

Radiator coolant is not cheap my friends! I have probably spent about 20 dollars on it already for those 2 radiators... blah. Water is my new frend.

no idea about the 3k ideal. but there should be big bubbles inside the rad. top off the cap, let it run for 5 mins, fill it up and close the cap..

Bleed your coolant system to make sure coolant is actually going through the radiator. Does your fan turn on?

There should be a bleeder valve right by the head and the block on the left (pass) side. Let the car run for 10-15 mins with the bleeder open and you should see bubbles come out and keep doing that until you see a full stream, then close the bleeder and then fill the radiator.

Also dont use water, water = rust inside the block. Anti Freeze = prevents rust.
