Is a front strut bar connector really that helpful on an EG?
I was thinking of getting one and maybe a lower strut bar connector too. But i don't want to spend the money if they don't do anything noticable accept to the most hardcore autocrossers.
When we put the full strut bar set (upper and lower front, upper and lower rear) on my buddies eg we could really notice the difference in handling. On corners there seemed to be no body roll at all. It also helped him out when he does his SCCA races. His suspension is really stiff now, it could just be because he has the whole set and stiff springs and good struts, but I think it could get annoying as a daily driver. I'm not sure if all of the strut bars made his ride really choppy (where you can feel every bump in the road) but overall I thought it was worth doing. His car now handles hella good without any body roll and the price wasn't bad. They are also really easy to install.
get the sub frame brace off the dc2 for your eg. that bar made the biggest diff in handling. and its cheap usually around 50bucks.

there are no lower strut bars, and techniclly they don't even have uppers. 91-00 civic and integra and preludes and accords don't have struts they have dampers. struts are on cars llike the first gen integra.
lower bars that connect the suspension points to the frame are called sway bars.
the barrs that connect the upper mounting points of the damper should be called stress bars.
and my personal opinioin is no they don't do ****

I think he was referring to them as "strut" bars because that's what they've become known as. Different companys label them as such, kind of like how alot of HT-ers (including myself) refer to 92-95 Civics as EG's, even if they're from the US. It's just easier.
The bar that is pictured above is not a sway bar, it's similar to the tie bar that runs between each shock tower, but it sits just in front of the rear motor mount.

i have an EG LX sedan so my car only came with a front sway bar. in one day i added front sub frame brace off a 94-01 integra, upper strut tower brace off a 94-01 GSR or Del Sol vtec, rear lower tie bar, and 94-01 integra rear sway bars. let me tell you the handling inprovement was very noticable. people who say these things dont make a difference are ignorant. make these suspension changes, you will love ripping around the turns.
in my experience with adding only upper strut tower bars (front and rear) were that i couldnt feel a difference w/ or w/o.

When I added my fstb, I noticed my car understeered more. After I added my rstb and c-bar, I didn't notice anything (wasn't expecting it though). Sway bar made the biggest difference for me (besides coilovers/azenis).
