Default turbo my motor?

what to look for with a high mileage motor if considering turbo?

what's teh point of boosting a cx motor? at least start with a z6/y8 imo. or you can put the boost on and beat on it till it blows up and then get a d16y8.

what he said, the cx motor is only an 8 valve for intake and exhaust flow, swap the y8 head and then boost it, cx motors are only good for fuel economy and lack of horsepower, trust me, i used to have one

you can get a full y8 swap for 500 or so. i would do that first. its got the better tranny, and will make 150+ whp on low boost like 5 or 6 psi.

i almost forgot, your DEFINITELY gonna want to ditch the cx tranny, it has NO acceleration whatsoever, go with an EX tranny, like mentioned before, get a full Y8 swap for cheap, then do a mild build(pistons, rods, some valvework maybe, metal headgasket) and you will handle at least 10psi with ease, and the setup will be cheap, and you will be so happy with it

probubly right...check for oil leaks, timing belf, oil and water pumps, dist. and wires...all that is key to make power and being realitively safe for a while on low boost.
