Came back from the DYNO what do you guys think?
This is what i made at 20psi on the SC61
this was a conservitive tune AFR was kept to a 12.1 and the car ran on MotorSport 109- we did not tune the cam gears at all on this set up, i was having some crankcase vent. problems when i was at the dyno and later realized my catch can was setup wrong... oh well next time i am hoping to reach 400hp

Its probably using that Euro style dating.

I tend to agree, especially with the higher compression and amount of boost being used with that application.. We've had easily 30 more wheel hp at only 12 psi.
Something for some reason doesn't seem right.

I'm gonna jump in and defend this guy.......I've had many cars on the same dyno he used. To put it simply, the dyno at vishnu reads quite a bit lower than any other dyno I've ever seen. If it had been a dynojet the numbers would have been alot closer to 360-375. I don't want to start the whole which dyno is more correct debate, but their dyno has always read about 15-19% lower than any other dynos in the area.

That's very true, but even so, at 20PSI? There is definately something inefficient about that setup.

I was never saying that the car wqas making the power it should be. I just wanted to state a few facts about the dyno that was used. I'm just wondering why the graph stops at @7500 rpm?

running bewteen 20-22 degree timing
This dyno run was not attended for max power because we ran into some problems, the engine misfired when more timing was givin and durring another power run a big puff of smoke came out of the motor... the dipstick flewout of the motor becuase the catch can setup was wrong... the crank was getting pressurized at high rpm.... another problem was my tire was getting flat on the dyno ...
After a long day... plus he was having some trouble of his own some thing about the car red lining at 8800 and his dyno did not show that instead it was reading something else .... ???? i dont know what was going on.. ?
Turbo: specs .70/.68 SC61 T04S-E cover
Engine bore. stock 1.8L b18c1
Wheel? well i dont know exactly what wheel i am using on the compressor: its and SC61 (GT Wheel?)

Re: Came back from the DYNO what do you guys think? (Jordo)
of the dyno dynamic dynos ive used, they read around 5% lower, 10% max. they are pretty sweet.
anyways, i dunno what kind of race gas you used, but i noticed you said the car misfired when u advanced the timing, probably detonation, did you try backing off the timing?
w/ only that kind of power, u could have used a lower octane, ie. 96-100 or so, even 93, but cali only has 91.

Well when i was dynoing the car it was connected from the brass nipple on the turbo to can and then from the can to the pvc outlet.. behind the block..

Re: Came back from the DYNO what do you guys think? (Mase)
the car stoped missing when the gap on the plugs was closed to a .024 thousands (bkr7e-11) well he told me to come in with a higher octane gas so i decided to chose VP motor sport 109...

plus vishnu's dyno is notorious for reading low.
stock STi dyno 210-220 hp and on others dyno 250-260hp ie mustang dyno
stock WRX dyno 150ish or so on his dyno.

I would try some 8 heat range plugs.
