Default Power Window Help ASAP.

I have a '94 Accord, EX trim (Canadian) with power windows. My problem is that my power window switch will not go up. The switch itself will go up, however the window will not go up as the switch is pushed. It goes down no problem, just not up. This only happens on the driver window, all others work fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance.

you probably need a new window regulator.. im having the same problem (the window goes up but takes forever) i took the window apart thinking that its could be rubbing/caught on something but no luck.. so im thinking it has to be a dieing regulator motor

if the window doesn't even attempt to go up, and you don't hear any sounds from the motor, i'd say it's the switch itself.

Here is how to fix the problem:

-Take the switch assembly out of your door
-Take the switch thats bad apart by pulling the pin out that holds it together
-Clean the metal contacts in the switch (they are copper color and are very tiny so be careful not to bend them or lose them)
-After getting the contacts totally clean (I used a dremel with a soft brush) putt a little contact grease on them, then put it all back together.

If you have any questions let me know and Ill try my best to help you out.

Well I took out the regulator and taped up the glass. I pretty sure it's the switch, and I'm also pretty sure your method will not help me, lol. But thanks to everyone for the input.

My switch is totally destroyed now, there's no hope of saving it.

ASSASINS method is the WAY TO GO:
Its a common problem on 5th gen accords and I'm 150% sure that his method will fix your problem. I had the same thing, i took the switch apart cleaned it really good, put some contact grease and It worked again. Then my passenger switch followed but I already knew the drill! lol
you mentioned your switch is done.... new one is 250 at the dealer, and around 100 on ebay. Good luck

Sorry to tag on to this issue here....I have the exact same condition on my 94 Accord LX as you're experiencing. I have checked fuse, bought a stock replacement motor/regulator assy, plugged it into the existing harness - prior to installing - and witnessed the exact same performance, window would go down, however, would not return up. I suspected the power window switch assembly, picked up a salvaged unit, quickly replaced it, activated the switch, and once again experienced the same condition. Since I believe the odds of the salvaged switch experiencing the same fault (the window on the salvaged vehicle was in the up position) as mine are extremely low, I'm now suspecting the harness connector leading in the switch. Does anyone have any experience/thoughts/suggestions on next steps? Thanks...

Get a new switch. Will run you 140$ CDN (~100$ USD), got mine for 80$ CDN since I work at Acura. Stupid E-bay people...
