Power Window Problem
I bought a new used car recently and I noticed that the pasanger side window works fine from the driver's side control switch. It goes up and down as it should. However, from the pasanger side window switch, the window only goes down and does not come back up unless controlled by the driver's side switch. I checked all the connections and everything seems fine. The only thing I can think of is the switch being faulty. I was just wondering if anyone knows what the problem might be besides a new switch, if that is even the case. I hope someone can help out. I appreciate it.
Cliff notes: pasanger side window switch can only make the window go down, not up. Only driver's side controls can make it go up or down.
-Thank You.

this may not apply to you, but first check the OBVIOUS.....here's a funny story
my buddy has a 95 accord coupe......in august of 2002 we noticed that the passenger side window did theSAME THING as yours, went up, not down.....
ok get this, for 7 MONTHS, he thought it was broken, calling shops and asking prices for a new window motor/switch etc.....
in march of 2003, he lets me drive the car to taco bell......on the way up there, i notice the WINDOW LOCK SWITCH on the driver side is on the ON position LOL
so i turn it off, and say "hey _____, roll your window down, it's hot in here" he says "ok jackass, you know my window is BROKEN", so he tries and...VOILA hahah.....for the rest of the week, he was made fun of by me
anyways, i know it's OT, but hey, first check the obvious

Re: Power Window Problem (SpoonFedHatch)
Haha...Yeah, I forgot to mention that I did check it. I don't know if I should say fortunately, or unfortunately after reading that story, but the window lock switch isn't the problem. Funny *** story though. Thanks for the reply anyways. It was well worth reading.

Re: Power Window Problem (J-MiGiRL702)
you know it's kinda funny you say that ,when i bought my car (92 lx) my drivers side window and passenger window would not work from the drivers master switch but yet the right and left rear windows worked fine from the master switch ,well anyway to make a long story short i wasn't getting power to the 2 front channels so i kinda rigged it to work i basically tapped one of the rear windows power to the switch to the front channels and have yet to have a problem ,,,,hope this helps
