Is a turbo from a gas car and diesel car be the same?
the turbos are essentially the same in design and function, however the turbine housings on diesel turbos are realatively small compared to a gasoline engine.
so would there be any unforseen problems running diesel turbo on a honda engine? i've been told they spool really quick good for mid range but bad for hi end.

You got it just the opposite. Most diesels use turbos with T4 exhaust sides and housings with A/R's in the high 80's and 90's (ie: .82, .86, .92, etc) which are too big for most street hondas that typically use a T3 exhaust wheel and a .63 A/R housing.
