Default Fouled Plug Question

Stupid question... I ran my car at 9:1 (unknowingly) for awhile and fouled my colder plugs. Is there any way to sand these down enough (theyre black as night) that I can use them again? I gave them a quick sand job and they still made it miss.

Maybe...I just figured if it didnt burn off in the combustion chamber then a flame wasnt going to do it.

Dont have one. Ill try a wire brush.

So I guess there is no "internal" damage to a fouled plug?

Get all the carbon off of the center insulator. Fouled = shorted, the electrons take a less restrictive path from the outside ground to the center electrode.

Seriously, plugs are CHEAP go get some new ones. Get an extra couple sets while you're there. You could probably salvage these with some solvent or a torch but I wouldn't bother.
