supercharged d16
only bolt on SC kit availible for d16 is an JRSC and i think its a total waste of money, like $3000 for like 20hp,it might be a little more than that but what im getting at,youll never see the HP gains that a turbo will give.buy a Turbo kit,its worth the extra effort of the install.
Some guy in Ontario, Canada has the setup.

I have the above mentioned set-up... The Mini-Me really helped in the higher rpm range. As far as reilabilty goes, you can't beat it. Unlike a turbo, it has fewer parts that can go wrong with it. Just read back through some of the previous posts, on how this part or that part failed causing an engine to blow. Also, a sc is a lot easier on the drive line, due to how torque is applied. Here again, previous post will show what kind of destruction can happen to a given drive line with a turbo.
If your going for all out speed, a turbo is the only way to go. Otherwise, for everyday stop and go traffic, that instant torque from a sc is for you. Each set-up has there positive and negative points, wheather it's intake temps or lag, etc.... it just depends on how/what you want to use your car... Not necessarily which set-up is better.
