I have a 97 civic ex w/ a greddy turbo kit. Don't get me wrong but i want to run more boost. Running about 7-8 now. I would like to be able to up the boost but i am not sure where to start. Some say new fuel controller and get rid of the greddy emanage. some say leave that and get new pistons and rods. Let me know what u all think. Thanks

 

how much boost? Is this car you daily driver? to many varibles left open, read and search.

Yeah it's a daily driver. i would like to push around 11-13 pounds. Basicly i want to beat my freinds NA supra.

 

I wouldnt push more than 10lb on a stock motor d16y8 motor.

A: I got brains and time

convert to obd1 then switch to uberdata, wideband tune it... even better wideband/dyno tune. get a nice fatty front mount IC. might want to upgrade that fuel pump.

B: I got daddy / money

get hondata, upgrade injectors, fuel pump, front mont intercooler, wideband / dyno tune.

When it blows get a built bottem end.

i have 330cc injectors came with kit. I got the IC that came w/ the kit from Trust. So gettin a better fuel management is the way to go? New pistons New rods? just want be be fast than i am now.

 

if you get better fuel management and get it tunined you can up to 10psi on your stock internals with the greddy kit. If you do pistons and rods (bolts too), and apr head studs, along with your better fuel management you can probably get 13-14psi out of the greddy kit

200whp is all you need to beat a n/a supra. I guess that should narrow down your decisions on power output.
