Default Comptech Charger install

Does anyone have their instructions for the install of this kit. Customer came in with the kit installed wrong and would like to have specs and install instructions for it. And how much Boost is the kit designed for. Right now its at 2-3psi...has a terrible stumble at 5-5.5K or so.....So far we found the BOV backwards! Im pretty sure the charger is done...from what Im understand the customer drove the car like this for a while...

Thankfully the F20C engine is built like Ford wishes Ford Tough was..So I'd doubt on such low boost that it'd have done too much damage.
I dunno how to install the kit though, sorry.

I thought that the kit was built for 5-6 psi.

Try giving comptech a call during work hours. I have heard a number of people comment on how helpful their support staff is.

was the FMU installed correctly too? Actually it doens't matter b/c it seems the entire kit wasn't installed right. I figure the ecu kept going into limp mode b/c it was seing boost via the map sensor. Make sure there's a voltage clamp on there. That will smooth things out. Not that cheap check valve that sits on top of the throttle body.

Ok that EMS module that came with the kit was destroyed due to an improper installation.....It would clamp the MAP voltage at 3.9volts which needed to be clamped at 2.83v. This put the factory ECU in a default mode....When this happens the timing is totally out of wack and so is the fuel....INOP of VTEC...blah blah you name it....

We have a new voltage clamp on the way from Comptech...BTW they told us they never had one go bad...they were already throwing up the defensive wall even after we told them it was an installation error...makes me wonder about their warrantees on the kits....

BTW....on another note.... we just did the Ultimate racing kit in another customers car with an AEM backing it. AT 6psi the car did 302whp and 190fttq(tq is low due the our timing map)

The kit was designed for 8-9psi but we never saw that much boost on the WG. The kit in my opinion is a nice kit but needs to be priced alot lower for what you get. There are alot of Home Depot parts(plumbing) included that cost next to nothing and could be of a higher grade. Larger pipes and made aluminum would be nice and the DP could be alot nicer. The IC is a baby for the car we did(it has a body kit). The injectors are the old style Seimens Deka so Idle quality is not as nice as the newer Precision Injectors(but that keeps things easier w/o the use of a resistor pack)the WG and BOV are not what we would use.....TIAL only here. We can definetly do alot higher quality setup for the same price.

The Supercharger problem was fixed by purchasing a new EMS module and properly adjusting it....its all good now...

Boost is not what always kills an engine.
