Ok here is the problem, I revved my car up to 4-5 rpm and it won't do a burnout in first gear. It jus laggs for about 1-2 secs. then it starts going WTF?? Do you guys think its my gears or my clutch? I can smell a burning smell is it the clutch burning? because i know its not my tires (obviously). So do I have to replace the clutch? or first gear? and how much will it run me?

 

100% clutch. when replacing clutch replace throwout bearing pressure plate and clutch disc these are what have to be replaced and flywheel if damaged.

But resurface flywheel and replace only if necessary or upgrading

 

would you know how much it would cost? sry for the noob questions I am a newb and this is my first car. Just trying to learn from my mistakes. What clutch would be reccommended and flywheel? Clutchmaster, act? I heard those are good quality. My budget is $800.

 

You can get an exedy clutch for like $80-100. Theyre a good choice.

with 800 bucks you can get an act setup with flywheel from on of the sponsors in the sponsors market section of the site.

or you could get a dual friction center force and flywheel from summit sport compact for about 700 bucks.

 

Where are you located...I got a custom setup from ACCESS MOTORS for half the price of the ACT setup. I had ACT and I like this one better.
