Default b18c1 lacking low end power...

I'm pretty happy with the JDM GSR swap so far... cold air and exhaust helped alot, but I'm looking for a pretty decent increase getting off the line faster...

Unorthodox pulleys work with turbo? And other than that what are my options? Expensive or cheap... just lookin for options.

I'm confused. You work for/own a performance shop but you dont know how to get low end power out of your b18?

Sure I know how, but I'm asking what people have seen the best gains out of their own setups with.

I would go with a pulley setup, bore the thing out to 2.0, do some forged internals and boost away... smaller turbo that spools up fast...

But I'm still curious to what people have had most success with...

you said you have cai and exhaust so im assuming ur n/a right now. when u "build your internals and boost away" your going to want to go with a lower compression which yes i garuntee you will love your turbo but it will not help with low end power. with good clutch and great tires you can always launch and have your turbo spooled as you get off the line.... that would give you low end power. or of course once u build your motor you could use a 25 or 50 shot of nitrous to get off the line quicker and to get your turbo spoolin. you mentioned using a small turbo, you dont need to really build internals to use a small turbo. if u sleeve and upgrade internals might as well go with a setup thats gonna at least get you close or around400whp. but then again we are dealing with FWD....so amazing tires?

i know this sounds stupid as hell, but are your IAB's hooked up right? If they are open all the time (mine are wired reverse, so they stay open), your low end will really suck. Check that

Best performance mod I have seen so far other then the header was the JDM ITR 4.78 Tranny. Gives back the low end grunt you are looking for. Or even shorter 4.929 ATS I am thinking about getting that one.

ill check the IAB's... i mean its not terrible low end power at all... im probably just needing more power, the engines probably running perfect...

i think my only option is turbo and nitrous
