Nitrous good idea?

No it's not. You will get different opinions on this subject. On motors that are built up to support it, it could be great. If your throwing it on stock motor, it can be not so great. If you do it right, there is a lot of up keeping involved. First, it's roughly $30 a tank. And if you have a purge kit, it goes fast. I'm telling you from experience. I had a 50 shot on my old gsr. Then the solenoids SHOULD be cleaned after 5 tanks of use (NOS reccomended). Debris gets in there. And how I learned my lesson was I squeezed at to low of an rpm and blew up my intake. Yes blew it up. Boom!
Anyways, some people like it some don't. I think it costs more in the long run. Especially if you don't maintain it right. Sorry for the novel, but NOS ruined my life.
