by the fact that you're referring to N2O as "nos" (a company name who makes N2O systems) i'd have to say that no, it will not be safe or a good idea
read up on it a little and ask a more intelligent questions. and FYI tuning is key to any reliable/safe NO2 setup.

reliability on using nos (CivicVX94)
I believe nitrous oxide's chemical formula is actually N2O but that's beside the point. Nitrous systems are a fairly inexpensive way to pick up significant power gains. As you know, there can be difficulties in deliverying a metered amount of nitrous due to the effects of pressure and temperature. However, done conservatively I bet nitrous could give you power gains without significantly reducing the life of the motor.

i figured, but i was just giving you ****.
wet kit's in general are more reliable, when tuned properly. you WILL need fuel upgrades/tuning for any shot to be safe by any means.
also, a 50 shot will yeild you ~about and increase of 50ft/lbs of trq at the wheels.
as for the 1/4 miles time, that has waaaay too many variables to guess. i'm assuming you have a gsr teg, you could prolly hit high 13's provided you can drive and your tires/clutch are good.

I don't think tuning or fuel upgrades are necessary for a 50 shot. I'd recommend a fuel pump on a 75+ shot and with a wet kit, I would tune with jetting on a wideband on a bigger shot. Do a compression test on your motor and if it checks out, throw in 2 step colder plugs, premium fuel, and a window switch and spray a 50 shot all day. Good luck

You wouldn't have a problem with a 50 or 75 shot.
This is what I would do, I am guessing you are new with Nitrous.
Buy a wet kit, a Wide Band O2..AEM's is nice. Also install a walbro 255 Intank pump for a little insurance vs. an old pump.
set your timing back 2 deg. start with the 50 and when you feel good with it you could bump it up to a 75 with some asking questions etc.
Track time depends on your car...

Re: (CivicVX94)
fuel upgrads and tuning are two seperate things. Most nitrous kits are safe right out of the box with the suggested jets and all. They're damn near idiot proof.
