nitrous help
purchasing a nitrous kit pretty soon. i've been doing my research and zex and venom seem to be very good companies. can anybody give me any feed back. or do they know of anything better.
what have you done to your motor? i would never use nitrous. our h motors aren't even good for boost. nitrous.. idno bro. personally i haven't had much experience w/ it but i would never use that on my car. esp the ludes. good luck though.

people boost tons of stock hseries... if u do it right, then dont worry that much....
I just started spraying my jdm h22a w/ a zex 75 shot and its DAMN fast... and pretty cheap too..
love it so far

i like Nitrous Express kits...but that's the only kit i have experience with too so...
venom is expensive isn't it? like way more so than most kits. some people don't like Zex because it's all built into that purple box, so if something goes wrong in the box it's trash whereas with NOS or NX if you get a damaged nitrous or fuel solenoid you just replace that one part.
i've been spraying my 93 h22a1 (with ~150k miles now) for a year or so no problems. 75 shot. just be smart when using it as with anything else.

I need NOS!
But I have seen you drive Brian, You have a heavy foot!
I don't know which is better but I have heard good things about zex...I could be wrong though.
I have always thought of "NOS" as a losers way of winning.
But to each their own.

and i've heard bad things about the ZEX kit...for instance, the fuel controller **cking up and spraying only nitrous and no fuel = lean extremities = detonation =
but i've read about this a few times so i dont think it occurs often. Even still, i would front the money for a direct port NX system. equal distribution > *

Spray is not good for H motors? Have you not seen there extreme tendency to run rich? They're perfect for spray. You're on crack.
ZEX is a good system, as is NX and Venom.
As with any nitrous kit, it's a good idea to start with the smallest jet and work your way up. This way if you have any problems, you'll find them out without too much stress on the motor.
Tuning is recommended, but not necessary. At most you will need 2-4 degrees of retard to run a 65-75 shot on a Prelude.
Unless specificed by the kit, you don't need any fuel line upgrades.
The ZEX system does not spray fuel. It bumps the pressure on the lines and adds more fuel through the stock system.
Colder plugs are a must. I don't care what jets you have, I recommend 2 step colder plugs. This will save you in the long run.
I ran a ZEX 65 shot on my Lude through a couple bottles and it worked fine. My auto went out before my engine did.

^^^tuning is imparitive, i have a crank that was snapped in two pieces, pistons with holes in them and 4 cylinder walls that will agree with that. and that was with only a 75 shot
Tunning is a must to have a safe spray....... i have seen a tunned lude run 75 all day long to 130k and then when the bumped it up to a 125 and didnt retune... detonated through the block..... no joke.....
then they rebuilt + tuned and are running 150 just fine.....
and CGags13, i literally spit coffee all over my pc after reading your post..... lol to the max...

Any kit is good, people seem to be bias because that is what they have. I have installed pretty much every kit except for Nytrex, but I've seen one installed. Out of all, I would recommend Nytrex if you care about the cleanliness of your engine bay, because the N20, fuel and purge is built in to one unit and a lot easier to install, less wires. Next would be my favorite ZEX that I still have on my Integ And NO NO NO NO, stop watching Fast n Furious myth, for those who don't know anything about nitrous, learn it and if you got beat by a car running N20, don't say he is cheating, just because he has the ***** to run it. He didn't need any especial license to buy it right? I just hate it when they say He's Cheating! He's using nitrous. Go for it bro, start with 55 shot, then 65, 75 or even 100, yes stock motor. I was running 100shot for a long time and not a single problem. Even 125 on a stock D16 CRX for a year till I sold it. I will eat a V8 all day. I can go for days about this. Man, IM me your number and I will tell you some N20 tuning. Later.
I was going to run nitrous on my H but decided to go turbo instead since I'm a boost addict LoL.
IT will be fine reliability wise if you get all the safety devices and watch the system carefully. Nitrous is fun as all hell when your using it, had it in a friends CRX (b18c1 100 shot DP) man felt like heaven when you window switch engaged the system
Personally I like NX kits just because they add all those nice things to have in the X-gen kits X-gen one is like everything you basically need to watch the system and the X-gen 2 is the purge valve kit
good luck with the build

Your are correct on everything for the most part. Ngk7 series plugs will do just fine. No need to run 8's that would be 2 steps colder then stock 6's. ZEX dry kits increase fuel from the regulator from the vacum lines from the solenoids( ZEX box) and increase fuel sprayed by the injector to compensate for the nitrous being added to the motor. The ZEX wet kit just like any other wet kit it taps into your fuel system to provide the fuel from the same nozzle the nitrous is being sprayed. This way is more accurate then a dry kit but both can work good if done right.
From my personal experiences I would have stock H series handle N20 a little better then boost on. But that's just my opinion

Next time you are typing that say to yourself: Wait, not knowing anything about the topic means I probably shouldn't talk, and then go ahead and don't post whatever thought it is you had.
Prelude motors stand up pretty sell to Nitrous mine loved it, it's all about taking the proper safety precautions and not going to far.

werd...saying they "run rich" isnt a valid excuse or else everyone random idiot would just go around bolting up turbos.....oh wait......
