can u use a 92-95 civic dx dizzy on a d16z6 engine, if so what mods do you hav to do to get it to fit?

no cause you need a vtec dizzy......the y8 dizzy doesn't fit z6 head....so you need a z6 dizzy no matter what....

 

i was told by a guy (local) that the only difference between the two was the mounting locations. Is that true?

 

I tried this on my d15b vtec and would not work. none of the bolts lined up. what i do know the coil and the igniter are the same along with the cap and rotor. hope that helps

 

you could use the ignitor and coil from the dx dizzy, i've also heard of people modifying non vtec dizzy's (i.e. drilling) to fit. i too have tried an lx dizzy on a vtec head and had a friend hold it in place and it worked.
