What i did was just get a bad z6 dizzy from a friend or one from a junk yard that is shot and just swap out the dx into the z6 housing. The only thing different between the two is the housings. The caps are even the same so just get a z6 housing and swap out the guts and there you have it. Good luck

you can fit dx dizzy but might have to cut off 1 or 2 legs one will hit vtec solenoid for sure.

I wouldnt wanna cut off any legs...theres 3 on there for a reason. But when i say guts i mean all the internal parts. They just screw in...what you wanna do is take them all out and put them into the z6 in the exact order you took them out of the other one.

put the DX distributor on your engine and time it with a timing light with no bolts holding it in (hold it in by hand) note the position of the distributor in relation to the bolt holes in the head. modify as needed.

Its not hard. You say you dont have a timing light? then you shoudln't be messing with the distributor in the first place..
