thats the question..
i need to swap a motor from a non-vtec to a Z6 but dont have a Z6 distributor... are the bolt patterns that different that you can't mount it...
or can you catch one bolt?,
or mondify something?,
change the cam cap it mounts to?.
i dont have the Z6 yet because i dont want to buy it and then have to hunt down a dizzy. let me know what you guys might know,

Ya I'm in the same boat as u, I swapped a z6 in my dx and didn't have a vtec dizzy so I just used the dx one.. Matter of fact I still have it on and its been there for like 5 months.. I'm finally gettin a z6 dizzy saturday

So the answer to ur question is YES u can use a non vtec dizzy on ur z6..

my car had the wrong dizzy on it (z6 motor, unkown dizzy) i think the dizzy was a b7 but not sure.

anyways, it bolted up, but i couldnt set the ignition timing correctly. advanced all the way was still retarted a couple degrees.
