you should use your civic 96 civic ex harness because the 2000 si harness does fit the motor but when it comes down to the ecu your car does not have a harness comming out of your car like the 99-00 civic does.

what you are sayin is that the green plug inside the cab of the car is wrong not the one that goes into the ECU right and another thing what about the O2. On the si I know there is a spot that the wire come out of the bottom of the car to the header and on the ex is on the upper part of the header on the motor bay. I do have both harnesses and I just want to do the easiest way. I do have some skills but not the best. I just did a K20a in a 2000 SI civic and it came out good thanx to the help of me calling Hybrid Racing like every day. Thanx for the help

the si harness will not work without some customization. use the ex harness, you'll only have to lengthen one connector (i forget which) and eliminate one wire for the alternator. sell the si harness on ebay for $100, and buy an obd2a to obd2b converter (mine came from boomslang) to use the si ecu, or buy an obd2a to obd1 converter and use p28, etc.

there will be no issues with the o2 sensors, as both the si and the ex have two.

You use the EX harness....Everything plugs in except the ckf which you take off the D16y8 and put on the B16a2, then it will plug in fine. You might have to extend your primary O2 sensor as well. You use a 96-98 b16 ecu or a obd2-1 harness. I have a Del Sol vtec ecu that would work for you. I used it in my 96 EX w/ b16a2 and it worked great for 2 years....never threw a single CEL. IM me if your interested.
