Default i fugked up!!!

Ok yesterday i was out having alittle fun with my stock b16 ej1 coupe with bolt ons and a chipped ecu. Well we start to race and i miss a gear at 9k. Yes i know its a stock b16 your not supposed to rev a stock b16 to 9k i know.. just didnt realize i was that high till to late. Well anyways yeah after the race i heard a really loud *** clicking sound so i take it to the house and take of the valve cover to see that one of the nuts that go on top of the vavles and valve springs had flew off. So i put it back on and then i realize that my timing belt is so loose that you can almost put 2 fingers in between the belt and the cam gear!! well i go ahead and start the motor anyway to see if the motor was still clicking and sure enough it was. Not as bad as before when the nut was off but still has a low clicking noise to it.

Now the question is could it just be clicking from the timing being off so bad and from needing a valve adjustment? or is something else wrong?

The clicking is from bent valves.Every single one of your valves is bent and it will cost you $2000 to get them replaced! ....J/K
If you heard a knocking noise or extremely loud clicking than it is you valves, but if its just a ticking even if semi loud than its most likely from valve clearance. If the adjuster nut flew off than most likely the clearance is way off which would cause the noise.Adjust it and put some tension back in your timing belt and you should be ok.

How high did your RPM's go? After doing the valve adjustment and re-tensioning the timing belt, I'd recommend doing at least a compression test just to make sure nothing is out of whack. Bent valves suck . Hopefully you didn't bend any.

Adjust your valves, Make sure that the T belt did not jump teeth and then comp. test. Good luck bro, hope everything is OK.
