Which airbag; driver, or passenger? And do you want to remove it, or just unplug it?

there should be a plastic cover on the steering wheel which will have the lead. or if you remove the airback screws on the side and lift out the air bag you can follow the lead and then remove it like that..

dont be afraid the airbad will not blow up in your face. its not that sensitive.

i actually have the wheel/airbag of. where the actual lead plugs into back of airbag, i need to take the plug out. tried simply pulling but wont come out. theres 4 bolts but once undone guessin the explosive will then be uncovered.

I think so... since it's off the car I don't think it has any charge left to explode... it can't hurt trying... It's not gonna explode in your face... I took my stock wheel off yesterday but I just left it all together... why are you trying to take that part off anyway?
