Steering wheel removal
I wanted to know if anyone knows the proper way to replace the steering wheel with another oem steering wheel. My steering wheel has gone to crap and I have another one with the airbag but I just need to know the proper way to instal it. Thanks for the help.

Re: Steering wheel removal
Set it straight up, remove the airbag by undoing the torx screws on the sides, remove the airbag, impact the 19mm locknut off, remove the streering wheel from the splines, and push on the new one. There might be some cable reel stuff to remove but that's small beans.

Re: Steering wheel removal
1. Undo negative terminal of battery for at least 10 mins.
2. Make sure wheels are straight (front + steering).
3. Unplug the SRS plug from airbag.
4. Remove side panels and remove the two T30 torx screws.
5. Remove airbag.
6. Unplug the horn connector.
7. Use a 19mm socket to loosen the center nut about two turns.
8. Use two hands at 3 and 9, and give the wheel a quick, sudden jerk to pop off wheel from spindle.
9. Remove the nut and remove the wheel.
10. Installation in reverse.

Re: Steering wheel removal
I waited like 15 mins then sat in the passenger side and kinda laid over into the driver seat w/ my head below the steering wheel just in case it blew.
Just be careful and remember to DISCONNECT the neg batt terminal
