b16 swap into 92 si hatch questions (already searched)
please don't flame, i've been searching for 2 hours already and are getting tired. there are a ton of posts to go through in that thing.
heres the situation, i bought a crashed (tboned) 2000 si (sir in canada), the motor works and axles are okay. However, i'm taking it to my friends shop to get the swap done, what EXACTLY do i need to tell them to take out of the car (because the rest of the car doesn't exactly belong to me, i have 2 days to take everything i need out). I know i need the engine assemby (tranny dizzy starter etcetc), shift linkage and the axles. can i use the ECU? or can i use mine from a 92 si hatch and get it rechipped with b16a basemaps? I know i need 3 of the 5 3rd gen integra engine mounts. Can i use the radiator, engine harness? I read here on h-t that i can use the engine harness from a ODB-II integra and that should plug right into mine at the shock tower?
again i'm really sorry for bugging and i wish i found everything i needed in the search, i am completely new at this and so is my friends dad that's willing to try this with me. Any HOW TO's or COMPLETE PARTS LISTS would be great help, also anyone willing to let me annoy them on PM please drop me a message, because i am really excited to do this, i just want things to go smoothly, because i read so many posts of HT members doing this in their garage i want to do the same. Thanks!
to be really clear again, a 2000 si (b16a2) into a 1992 civic si (d16z6)

Re: b16 swap into 92 si hatch questions (PuiPui)
what you need from the si
1. motor/trans/header/axles/mounts
making it work
1. gsr rear L bracket, si tranny (top/bottom), gsr side mount, and si a/c mount (that makes 5)
2. gsr/del sol vtec/your oem 92 si harness will work on the b16a2
3. get your p28 rechipped or buy a p30 (jdm obd1 b16a sir2 ecu )
the rest is plug and play.
about the rear disc brakes on the sir, just take it off and sell it since you have that on your si (your oem brakes are smaller though, so itll make a nice upgrade)

i did the same swap as you and you dont want to use the obd2 ecu, i mean get it if you can, but I would convert it to obd1 and a chipped p28, way better HP results... trust me. oh ya get the sir shift linkage too.

Ya do not convert to OBDII. Lemme tell ya. those things are so strict they will throw a CEL if a car passes u to fast...lol a little sacastic. But the OBD I p28 chipped with the Skunk program should work very well with u on here.
