Default obd2b->a then obd2 ->obd1?? too many harnesses?

ok, so ive done a lil reading and whatnot- obd2b motor(b18b) in an obd2a(97 hx) car needs a conversion harness to take care of the immobilizer situation. my question is that im eventually gonna run an obd1 ls ecu and program it for boost with uberdata, meaning id need a obd2-obd1 harness. would running 2 conversion harnesses be bad?
