Default placing MAP sensor before turbo... any possible benefits?

just thinking about it...
would running a map sensor before the turbo (aka before boost) be simliar to the idea of an FMU and check valves?
the same flow of air coming to the MAP before the turbine is the same air that would be seen at the MAP on the throttle body.....
This idea came from another thread - so don't make fun

And you compared it to the idea of a FMU and check valves. An FMU has nothing to do with what your talking about. Check Valves (missing link), yes.

The idea sounds more appropriate for MAF sensors not MAP. The difference between them is how they measure air, flow vs pressure. You may think one equals the other but its not that simple. MAFs suck.

I can only see how this would be beneficial at WOT...the MAP would never see vacuum, so it probably wouldn't idle or have part throttle driveability.

i know FMU has nothing to do with MAP
i'm just giving an example of how ithought this could work, by eliminating the check valves in an FMU setup...
and now that i think of it sitting here at work, it would be bad since the map is normally sitting behind the tb plate

I think the better idea would be to just convert to a full MAF system. But Honda ECUs arent setup for that so it would be more difficult than just running a check valve or better yet getting some kind of real engine management.
