00 Civic owners: How do i remove my door panel?
someone hit my driver's side door. I was thinking that i could just pop it out if i can get behind the metal of the door. So, how would i remove all of the interior sutff on teh door to pop out my dent?
TIA!
TIA!
Bust out a Phillips screwdriver. Take out the one behind the latch, and manuever it off of there. Then take the screw out of the handle and remove. Next remove speaker cover. There are 3 screws in there, surrounding the speaker. If you have crank windows, you'll need either a crank removal tool or I use a skinny hex wrench. You have to pop the pin out of there that holds the handle on there. Kind of a pain in the ***, but just be patient and careful not to tear the upholstery around it. After that, it's just clips. You have to pry (gently), they should pop right off. Voila!
Oh yeah, roll your window down first. It makes it much easier to remove the panel. Then if you have to roll it up to access the back of the door skin, you can roll it up by simply putting the crank back on (minus pin) or connecting the power windows. Hope this helps

right if you look there should be a screw behind the interior door handle opener(may have to remove a blanking plate. then in the door handle there are 2 large screws which you need to remove.
once this is done you should be able to pull the door trim of. pull it from the bottom but becarefull not to break the plastic clips holding it on.(the trim will be tight to pull of) once you have pulled the from the bottom and all the clips have come out you will need to lift the door trim at an angle to remove it from the window. once inside you will see that there is a plastic film which prevents water getting inside the car. you will need to remove this and also watch for anything else which needs to come off to remove the film.
becarefull not to split the film.
just a little advise but the sticky stuff holding the film on is horrible and if not carefull is difficult to get off fabrics.
hope this helps and good luck.
