best trans for turbo ls/vtec
i dont have a trans at all as of now. i had a b16 in my crx until the differential broke and poked holes all over the differential housing. so i pulled the motor and now i am doing a ls/vtec turbo, and i need a trans so i was just wandering which would be best for me. thanks
do NOT get a b16a tranny whatever you do, and I would stay away from the GSR also, if you're serious, stick with the LS. I have the b16 and I spin the **** out of my heavy *** 17's in first second and third and let me remind you that a turbo have i not. hehe. good luck.
Oh, forgot to mention, built b20vtec.

Hey matt you asked "will i go in and out of vtec when shifting"? isnt that why you have a vtec controller? i would go with my ls trans....i will sell it to you cheap....lol it comes with missing spider gears and a hole in trans.haha...talk to you later. imastilsmoque
Yea, I've already come to the conclusion that the best combo (For me) is a GSR Tranny with an LS 5th Gear and FD.
This way you have that same 1-3rd Gear as the LS, your 4th Gear is Closer to stay in VTEC. You have the LS Final Drive to lengthen all the Gears to LS-Spec. Also, you have the LS 5th Gear for Highway Bliss. I can't think of a better combo from OEM Honda Parts ona Boosted Application.
