1992 Honda Accord need to repaint part of a rear panel about the size of a grapefruit. It's pretty smooth and pretty flat surface. Thinking about doing it as a DIY job with Aeorsol touch up spray and primer. Anyone done this before?

 

just use nice even strokes...you may want to read in on some basic wet sanding techniques....make sure you let each coat dry, but other than that....i think you should be ok. good luck

 

How many coats do you recommended? I'm so afraid it's not going to match... but then again it's not matching at all right now.

 

I don't think that the color will match very well.

 

Well, I was told to apply several coats then wet sand. After paint dries use clear coat and then rubbing compound. The color of my car is Honda Maroon red which is prett common. Please elaborate why you don't think it will match well.
