Just installed new intakemanifold, engine revving???
I just got done installing a new intake manifold on my gsr, when i start the car the engine revs quickly between 1,000-1,500rpms?? any idea on why its doing that? all the vacuum lines are connected back to the manifold, so i'm not sure why it's doing that...any help appreciated...thanks
sounds like a vaccum leak. lake sure all the bolts are tight when the mani goes to the head. if that isnt it. check the iacv and tps
yes i just did. i hooked up the iac, tps, mass air flow and it idles at 2000 but it keeps jumping to 2500 then back down to 2000 again. any ideas?
Get yourself a can of starter fluid and spray around the intake manifold while the car is running.
Any change in idle indicates a leak.

starter fluid? ive always used brake pasrts cleaner. but either way there is something leaking vacuum most likely and it could be anything from a disconnected vacuum line to an unplugged sensor. also did u make sure u got all of the remaining old gasket off the head? sometimes itll tear and leaves pieces on the head thatll cause a leak

do i still need the intake air bypass?? since i'm switching to a single stage and isn't that just for the dual stage? Also the PCV hose just connects back to the manifold right? All my sensors are plugged in, I tried turning the the heater and its just blowing out cold air when the radiator hose are hot already....I'm thinking that it might just be the vacuum lines that are being re-routed through the IAB....what do you think?
Did you bleed the radiator system after you filled it? If the heater is blowing cold air then either you have a bubble in the cooling system and have to bleed it out, or it's not topped off all the way.

I wonder if you sprayed brake cleaner around trying to locate a vacuum leak.

I never use Brake Cleaner, it smells awful.. Sounds like the leak is coming from the intake manifold gasket area.. Just get some Throttle Body/Carb Cleaner and spray it around the the intake manifold gasket with the engine running, if it idles down, there's your problem..

make sure that your throttle closes all the way. since you probably unhooked the throttle cable....you may not have put it back in the correct spot (since it is somewhat adjustable). check the TPS voltage.
just a stupid thing i did when replacing an intake manifold and it wouldn't idle below 1500rpm.
