Default question for you h22 guys

when you guys put your h22's (the JDM ones) were you able to use the engine harness that it came with. The reason i ask is because from hmotorsonline you get the "complete changeover" which includes the engine harness. however, when we were installing the h22 in my friends prelude the harness wouldnt work and hmotors said we had to use his h23 harness or a USDM h22 harness. This wouldnt be a problem if i werent putting the h23 into my civic. so now i need a harness. but this doesnt make sense to me because that would mean that all you accord guy would have had to get a new harness. so my question is were you able to make the JDM engine harness work? or does an f22 harness work? if not where did you get a USDM engine harness because its pretty expensive to get it from honda.
