ok heres the problem. when i start the car, it will sound like it is choking or dying. then as it idles at like 200 rpms, when you rev it a little, car will stall out. when you rev it a lot, the check engine light will come on and it will idle normally. the funny thing about this is the boost gauge is connected and will not work under boost or vacuum. it stays at 0 all the time. i have no idea what the problem is. some people have told me it is the idle sensor that is going bad, a vacuum leak or even a blown head gasket. also when the car is idling erratically, a lot of black smoke comes out of the tailpipe. when you put your hand on the pipe, it will push your hand back hard like a cannon. but when it is idling normally, it wont push your hand out hard like that. please if anyone had this problem before, please let me know. i need to know what this problem is right away. any help would be appreciated.

sounds like your runing rich as FOCK. whats your fuel managment, and whats the code its throwing??? we need more info, setup, codes, etc.

well, how do i figure out what the cel is for? i dont know how to figure that one out. i have a revhard kit i got on ebay. all i have in edition to that is the 402t ls cams. i am pushing 10 lbs of boost daily on my engine, but never pushed close to that today thats just funny when the cel is on, it runs normally with the exception of the boost gauge not working at all... but you can heard the turbo spool up quick and hard though, and you'll be flying. other than that, when the cel is NOT on, the idle sux and its almost impossible to drive. btw, my setup is my sig.

yup...sounds rich to me too. Black smoke (fuel burning) is your first hint ...poor idling is your second hint.

You need to have your car tuned! Plain and simple.

As for the turbo, your engine does not create enough load at idle to create boost...you should be able to spool it to some degree though.

 

it says nothing in your sig for fuel exept the pump. we need more info, and to check the codes, you jusmp the service connector and count how many times the sel blinks, a long blink is 10, and a short is one. so for example 2 long and 2 short would be a code 22.
