But if you get any speaker with any real depth, you'll have to either cut the factory speaker backings, or fab new ones. I cut mine and used a foam backing to protect them in case water gets past the window seal. Also, my Infinity Kappas are large speakers, but they are about 1/4" from the window when down, so check your clearance carefully before you waste money.

True, but only in the 4 door.

There are some people that have fabricated 6x9's behind that panel in the Integra Coupe. I'm sure if you search for the DIY thread, you can slap em on your car. 6x9's will improve the sound in a coupe BIG TIME>

6 1/2 separates will always sound better than 6x9s, especially when backed by a nice 10" or 12" in the trunk. A 6x9 will provide a little better mid bass, which I doubt is worth cutting the door metal to mount them, and is completely negated with a sub.

I agree that its not worth cutting the door metal to fit 6x9's......but I was referring to the rear speakers. The rear panel area can be removed and 6x9's can be retrofitted. No door metal to cut.

i agree... just buy some nice door speakers and a little 10 or 12 for the back... i got one for sale if u want for real cheap... i suggest 'concept' speakers for the front... really high trebles if u have a sub
