In a b18c1 motor iI believe the IAB is opening up or your "butterflies" in the intake at 4400. IAB=intake air bypass. Vtec doesn't kick in til 5600 I believe on a gsr motor. Id check or have your intake looked at IMO.

nope, GSR vtec is 4400, IAB's are 5600. (give or take a couple hundred)

No ****??? Wow...I was misinformed...thanks. I thought the IAB's opened up earlier to prepare engine for vtec and higher output at higher rpm's. Thanks.
