Default Del sol B16A...B18C1

O.K. what would you guys choose a B16A with a JG Edelbrock intake mani. and ITR cams, or a stock B18C1? What do you guy's think is best for my application? '95 del sol...

Del Sols with the added weight can definitely benefit more from the stronger torque curve of a B18C.

Well mine runs 14.7's it's a B16A P28 ecu, JG edelbrock intake mani, everything in my sig. I guess what my real question is, will my del sol be faster with the upgrades done to it or will dropping a stock B18C1 be faster?

of course you will make more power with that stuff done to the b18 becuse it already came with more power than the b16 and more torque but i dont think its worth swapping for that little bit more power. If you are gonna do anything i would build a poor mans type r.

what is the point of getting the gsr IF you ALREADY have a b16? With that much money you could turbo ur b16 and whoop the gsr all day long

b18c
You could easily swap out most of your b16 stuff into the gsr and the gsr into the b16. Then sell the b16! Only downside I see is labor. If you are doing it yourself and not paying anybody I would do the change if you are now able to afford it. But if not then stick with the b16.

ahh one of the fine honda myths.

a del sol does not weight more than most civics. curb is around 2300 lbs.

yeah everyone makes it seem like a del sol is just a boat of a car. everyone expects it to be as light as a 92 cx or something.

depends on what model you are talking about. S model is not so bad in terms of civic wt, but VTEC model is quite hefty in wt. for such a small car
