Default increasing Displacment

i am about to rebuild my 94 ls engine because it has 120k miles on it. I am puting higher compression pistons, titanium vavles and valve springs. I am planing on resleeving it instead of boaring it out to increase displacment Is it possible to put a bigger sleeve in the block instead of boaring out the new one? If so what size? and what sized pistons? im not new to the whole integra thing. True i am olny 17 but i know alot about tegs. I am new to the whole engine rebuild so if you could put your comments in Laymans terms that would help out.

Hmmm, well, I am not quite sure I understand but let's give it a try.

You can put new sleeves in and have them any size you want (within reason). The B20's have the same block just a 84mm piston instead of the 81mm piston like the rest of the B's. Many people are sleeving and boring there blocks. I would suggest getting new sleeves and having them be 85-86 mm....that would make you very happy with the torque. I believe when you get new sleeves and request a certain size they will install sleeves and bore them to that size anyway so you will be getting bored sleeves anyway. The only diff is that you don't request 81mm sleeves and then ask to have them bored to 86mm you just ask for 86mm sleeves. Hope I was helpful.

Edit: Oh, why are you going to put the Ti stuff on the LS head? Are you planning on Turbo or Vtec in the future? If you plan on turbo If you are planning on going Vtec in the future don't bother upgrading the LS head....build the bottom of the block and be patient....you will be much happier with the end results.

I'm guessing you meant to say you're putting in titanium retainers and keepers, NOT titanium valves? Stainless valves I could see...

Well, if you goal is only 7k then you don't have to upgrade the springs and retainers......they will work much higher than that.

EDIT: what is yer budget? I am not sure what you have in mind about what you want to do.......mild street, street, street/strip, race.

Let us know and we will be able to help you from there........

a rebuild just replaces gaskets and rings and stuff, I am not sure it the head is even touched.

On a one thousand dollar budget I would just take it to a shop and make sure everything is okay then go and get a NOS setup.

EDIT: a MILD NOS setup.
