who has the lightest integra onboard?
i was wondering who has the lightest integar onboard here? and how much weight can i save by taking out FULL interior, add carbon fiber hood, trunk, etc..basically taking everything out
haha funny. i was wonderign same question. i have everythign striped from passenger seat back. all the sound dampenign. rear wiper. carpet. even the glovebox is out. i can notice its a little quicker. i can squeal tires easier when i hit 2nd gear
Its way more than you think...
weight reduction to this point is stupid unless its just a track car... IMO
why have the car if you cant daly drive it comfortably

stripping the car is not the only way to lose weight.
you could also replace lots of factory parts with aftermarket parts, such as lighter brake components, lighter flywheel, gutting your doors, lighter suspension components, lexan glass, lighter exhaust, and pretty much anything else you could think of... of course, removing reinforcement beams for safety would only put you in jeopardy if you drove on the street and happened to get t-boned by a 4000 lbs vehicle... think about it. is it worth it if it's not a track *****?

Lightest I gutted mine to was 2110 w/o me in it-- I took out the following:
-A/C-- everything but the evaporator core under the dash
-stock hood to C/F, stock foam inside to bumper
-Full interior, including all stock seats, replaced driver w/ a 12lb MOMO seat, headliner, excluding power windows, door internals, power roof, power antena, only other thing out was the rear metal bumper

everyone moans about stripping for street cars, but I know I spend hours before events prepping the car. I've turned stripping it into a pre race tradition, then when you're done, it all goes back in.
I've got my GSR down to 2480 w/o driver, while still maintaining full ITR interior, stereo with sub, and all the power options. I took out the sound deadening junk, stripped A/C, P/S, and the rear wiper, the rear seat belts, and a few other things.
It's still comfortable to drive, and now 170lbs less than it was before.
