Default Weight reduction

I have 00si that will be a street/strip car so no lexan or one-piece front ends for

me, but I am still interested in what everyone has done.

List your weight reduction mod's, and guestimate how much weight savings for

each.

ive got a 93 vx hatch but its all essentially the same . in my car i took the carpet out to get to the sound deadening material , left the carpet out , no interior panels , only my seat is left and all of this is my daily driver . i might put the carpet back in it but im so used to it now i dontk now anymore . the seat i put in every once in a while when i take my girl out but usually take her car . anyways i think i shaved a good 150 lbs off . plus i took off the a/c all of it condenser lines u name it its gone , all underside plastic . honestly , if it doesnt have anything to do with the way the car drives i took it off .

Remove any unnecessary bolts, brackets doo hickeys. Remove everything that doesn't have to do with the functionality of the vehicle. Also remove any comfort devices. Remember this you have to give a lil to get a lil.

one thing i did that was a pain in the *** to do, but it took off a few oz., i got under the car with a grinder / wire wheel attachment and took off all of the undercoating and seam sealer from the under side of the car... then used spray can "RUSTOLEUM" paint to keep it from rusting...
