Default ls vtec head pick

what would be the best head for a ls vtec. b16, gsr, or even type R. and would the type R head make a lot more power ?

Not alot more but it will make more. If you are keeping it stock then go with the type-r head if you are getting head work go with the gs-r.

B16 is supposed to be the best one that I have heard it with type r cams. Or any other after market cams. I have done quit a bit of research on it and the B16 has had the better flow ratings the type r was equal just came with the better cams already.

The ITR head is a much better choice than a stock B16 head. The ITR head comes with better cams, valvetrain, and a factory P+P. If you're planning on doing heavy modifications to the head, get a B16 or GSR to start out with. If you're not planning on upgrading cams and such, go for an ITR head and call it a day
