type r or gsr head?
i have a b16a2 that i am in the process of boosting and i wanted to build my si head, but then i began reading and saw that gsr cams are good for boost so would a gsr head be a better upgrade and cheaper in the long run? Or would a type r head do the trick even better for a little more money, any help is appreciated , thanks

Re: type r or gsr head? (b16ahybrid)
I say leave the head alone for now, and spend the $ elsewhere. Yes gsr cams are good, and if you went the route of getting a type R head you coudl alwasys ell the R cams for like $300.

B16 head flows exactly the same as a GSR head, and GSR cams can be had cheaply.
ITR is just a halfassed streetported B16 head with fancy valve seat angle... the valvesprings and the LMAs are the nice pieces, but do not merit the cost required to buy a whole Hype R head, IMO.
Build what you got, bro.
