well b16 heads are cheap, GSR might be better for the money, and type R are the more expensive heads.

because the LS is 1.8, i would stick with at least a GSR head

haha notice everyone has there own preference, just pick up the first vtec head you come across. you get what you pay for b16 < b18c1 < b18c5

i'm going down the same route ls/vtec-wise and i was wondering what the vtec powerbands were, like from what rpm to what for each head. plus which head creates the least problems, or are they all good mechanically.

since the LS block is a 1.8L, ive heard that GSR and Type R heads will function mechanically better because they are meant for 1.8L. im not saying the b16 won't work but the GSR and Type R head will definately flow much better. From GSR to Type R, the Type R cams are what makes the Type R head flow better from the GSR.

read this https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=469492 , well if money is not a problem, why would he ask the question? he would just pick up a ITR head for the damn project. Every **** we do to our cars has limited budget.

"the range of lift that normal camshafts utilize is where the b16 outflows the b18. the b18 head only outflows the b16 head after .475 valve lift. no streetable cam lifts that much.the b16 head flows a little better than the b18 head"

ps, there is no need for harsh words, i'm just simply trying to help man.

jus for the record it doesnt matter what if the block came of a 1.6 or a 1.8. cause a b16 head and type r head are the same casting jus type r head has differnt valvetrain, cams, im, and comes ported from the factory. hence the combustion chambers on a b16 are al 81 mm jus like every oither b-series vtec head
