Some guys say they want a body kit or a cheap bolt on and everybody in here complains, "don't rice it up, keep it stock" and totally slam the poor guy. Come guys, where's the excitement in that...Some people are interested in changing the look of the car....Not everybody wants to just add under the hood aftermarket cams and pistons and engine components...There's nothing wrong with spicing up your exterior....Let's face it, a nice paint job, some chrome and flashy lights really ain't that bad. I've got a teg too...and it's got both some engine work and some exterior ****....but come on guys...they're lawn mower engines....They're not 454 big blocks that rumble the car...So to everybody that wants to make their car look good....Do it....Nothing wrong with it...Aftermarket is pretty sharp and stock isn't all that bad either. Bottom line, It's a damn honda

 

i bet about 50-60% of the people on this board have a honda that will beat a 454

All show and no go? I really don't have a problem with it, it's just the people that have the loudest can, and the hugest wing ALWAYS, it's like a damn rule to rev up next to me like a moron, so everytime I see those aspects I CRINGE.. Yeah, wrong Impression but I'll always go with "Performance creates style." some of my friends like to JDM their cars and beef out the looks, I have a dent on the side of my drivers side and no looks except my wheels, I put all my denero into suspension and I just purchased a Drag Kit.. I'd rather have my car run well and enjoy the ride, and not enjoy everyone elses attention.

 

I say if they're posting questions on this forum, they're asking for people's opinions. I, for one, will NEVER put graphics, neons, or extreme body kits on any of my cars. If someone comes up to me and asks me what I think of their altezza's they just got, I'll tell them straight up how I feel about them to their face. They asked, so I'll tell. Same thing here. If they don't want people's opinions on their decisions, then don't waste time posting and getting their feelings hurt.

I too have no looks but the rims and I focus on the engine and suspension. I have two dents, one on the hood and one on the lower rear quarter. Have had my 91 nearly 5 years and still love the car, it drives sooo damn good!

 

there are actually a select few body kits out there that look okay. but i personally like the oem kit.....looks really clean.

 

I believe there is an appearance forum on this site for everyone who wants to have the "look". I like clean functional parts. Just my preference. Can a car look good with all those parts on there and body pieces, sure. I have seen many sick cars. This is a Honda and Acura TECHNICAL RESOURCE. If you don't believe me check the honda-tech.com link up top. There this site is for information about technical aspects of the cars, not which kits will make my car more appealing. Let's just drop this whole thread and go help someone who has a real problem with their car and needs some TECHNICAL help.

 

I HATE folks up here who ride with BIG *** WINGS, LOUD *** RICEY EXHAUST, STICKERS EVERYWHERE, UNPAINTED KITS AND PARTS, ETC. because they make all other decent honda/acura owners such as myself and others look bad. if it weren't for them, cops and a majority of the domestic owners would probably appreciate/respect us more. come on now...i see it everyday here...a freaken civic with a huge tail getting toasted by a domestic because they think they're hot stuff with basic bolt ons, a freaken huge tail that creates so much drag, and other crappy parts.

and people with Stickers...come on now! most of the people with stickers on their cars don't even have the parts that came with the stickers! and a lot of people overdue their cars with stickers just making it a rolling POS! no offense but mexicans' up here put **** like the NIKE swoosh sign on their hondas, along with different colored stickers with nothing to do with anything, and their names written all over with old english letters. i've seen a lot of asians and caucasians do the same thing as well but just not as bad.

and the freaken exhaust!! WTF is going on here!! i'm seeing more and more freaken imports...i don't care if it's a camry, tercel, TL, Legend, Outback, 626...whatever it is, they've all got freaken shitty *** welded on mufflers to their stock exhaust pipes! WTF is that!! this is what's making the local law and regular citizians despise us! it's all these fools who want their cars to go fast...be fast...look cool...so they take the freaken simple way out...find cheap shitty ways to make their cars represent something cool and fast and go out racing every other car with the same **** they've got.

not to mention...the owners of these shitty cars...1 out of 10 of these fools probably steal their parts from cars like yours and mine and either sell it to afford their parts...or just plain slap our parts on their cars.

sorry...i just had to vent.

 

oh...and this LAWN MOWER ENGINE is making more than 170hp per liter. pretty good huh for a LAWN MOWER.

the thing is, the people that rag on people for having body kits and rice the hell out of their cars are the same select few that have nothing better to say. i've read some people reactions and its the same 10 or 20 people complaining. i dont have a problem b/c if thats what makes u happy more power to u and its a start. i'd rather them fix up there civic or integra then go out and buy a domestic.

 

I live in bullshit car town. people put a bullshit tin can muffler on everything around here. Than I go down the road and a tercel or a bullshit neon revs his engine at me. I feel like crashing my car right into them. And their pipes sag down or wiggle all around. Dont they know it sounds and looks like ****. WTF is wrong w/ people man. DAMMMMMMMMMMM.
