I took the cover off my stock airbox today on the 98 GSR. My Comptech Icebox CAI is coming on wed. and I was just wondering how the two sounds are going to compare to eachother. Can anyone help me? Thanks

 

Take the resonator out and it will sound the same

 

an open air box with the paper filter sund like ****! are you getting the foam filter with the icebox? if so, it will sound very quiet

 

Wow you guys brought this back from the dead. I forgot about this post I got the Icebox and it is much quieter and I LOVE it!!!!I did get the foam filter with it and it keeps it nice and quiet until I get on it, then at about 5.5k it starts to get a little rumble in it. For the Icebox

 

Excuse me, kind sir, but where did you get the comptech icebox with the foam(?) filter and for how much?

 

i guess it's a matter of taste... but i think an open airbox sounds very nice
