power steering removal, stuck on pinion removal

power steering removal, stuck on pinion removal
i'm takin out the power steering and puttin in a manual steering rack, problem is i got everything off and i can't get the pinion out! anybody that has a handyman tip to get it out without prying it like a mother, please help. thanks.... gotta go back to yanking on it....
