EAGLE RODS WONT FIT...NEED HELP!!!
Just what it says, I bought a set of Eagle H-beam rods and they just wont fit. I pulled the motor and took out the crank, switched the bearings over, put the SRP pistons on and then put the crank back in. Now i put the rods down with pistons attached of course and once i put the rods together and try to spin the crank, it only goes halfway because the rods touch the wall, the very bottom of it.
What shold i do???

did you put the piston/rod assembly in wrong? meaning the intake valve pockets on the piston(s) on the exhaust side of the block? make sure the intake valve pockets faces the back of the block(oil filter side) and the exhaust valve pockets faces the frontside(dipstick tube). if you have it backwards, it will cause the head of the rod bolt to hit the bottom of the bore(cyl.), because of the offset of the pin bore on the piston.
no, you probably just have to get the bottom of the block notched. youre on a d-series right? ask kelly on the board, we had to do the same thing to 2 of his blocks. its not a big deal, just gotta take a little extra off the bottom.
