Got my 30,000mi tuneup done the other day. I told them about the little hesitation problem I was having and they said they would check it out. The changed all of my fluids, replaced sparkplugs at my request and did a valve adjustment. They took my car for a test drive and said that they noticed the hesitation and that it eventually cleared up like I said. They said that everything on the car seems to be in good shape and the computer says that all my systems checked out fine. They want me to bring it back whenever I can to see what the problem is. Now the problem is way worse than before. Yesterday morning when I went to crank it up I had to try 3 times before it would start, only to have it go dead a few seconds later. On the next try it started right up. Then as I attemted to give the car a little gas it shudder several times as the rpms rose. This happened again as I got out on the main road and tried to give it medium throttle. As the rpms rose the car would would act as if it was misfiring bad. After a few minutes the car stop doing this and drove normally. Then I attempted to take the car into VTEC and it hesitated like always, but the thing now it won't go away no matter how long I've been driving it. What could they have done and what could the problem be? Everything in the car checks out and it's not throwing any codes. Good it be a faulty sensor or what? Any ideas would be appreciated.

have you ever misshifted your R, like redline 3rd, misshift into 2nd?
Also make sure the spark plug wires are good. If you can borrow a friends wires and see what happens. I've had the same symptoms on a few JDM motors i've installed, and 9times out of 10 it was the wires. Yours may be different, but its worth a shot. Look for crimps and also tears as well in them.
Also, try changing your gas... (to another gas station)..
I got misfire all over the place with 94 Sunoco.. but other Rs in my area uses the same thing, nothing happen to them, just to my R...
so now I use 93 from different station.. never have the CEL or misfire again..
maybe your case is different, but well.. just trying to help...

I think it's an electrical problem.
Check all the grounds, the one at the thermostat housing, the transmission,
and valve cover.
Did they replace the distributor cap and rotor?
Borrow a set of spark plug wires and try them on your car.
good luck

How's the oil level? It's highly unlikely that the dealer broke something, but they could've easily not filled the fluid all the way. Hope your dealer didn't bent the valves on their "test drive." (I would never take my car into a dealer, btw.)
pull off your distributor cap and check the terminals on the inside of the cap and check the rotor...i had the same hesitation problem and it turned out that my distributor bearing was bad and it kept slicing the terminals on my cap and ruining my rotor.
