My check engine light just recently turned on. I know that there is a way of
checking what code it is, but I do not know how to do this. My friends said that I could use a paperclip on the ecu to check the code by the number of flashes. If
anyone knows anything please reply. Thanks

 

There is a green 2-pin connector above the passenger side kick panel. Jumper that with a paper clip then turn your ignition to the run position without starting the car. Your CEL will flash the codes.
