there should be things like this on ebay. i dont think your going to find a DIY link on here since a VTEC light is useless..why would you need to know when you VTEC is on?

Here will be a quick write up.
Why don't you wire it up to the "vtec solinoid" to a LED (or whatever you want to "light up") oh yea then to a ground.

If you wire it correctly and use a led you shouldnt have N E problems.

If you want to wire it correctly just tap into the positive wire on the vtec solinoid to a led (draws like no power) then ground it. If you cant use basic directions YOU shouldnt do it). And thats all there should be to it.

There's a wire going into the ECU that's the vtec signal wire...

Find an ECU pinout for yours, and if you can't figure it out from there, you shouldn't be doing it...

Why risk severly messing up something very important for such a useless mod?

It would be cooler if you could make one of your gauge lights get brighter or something like that. i.e the "si" logo gets brighter when VTEC is engaged.

Friend of mine did it on his 4cylinder Accord. Purple is a good color for the LED.
